Commissioned Artwork
I’ve been back in beautiful Yorkshire for a post-exhibition holiday, and delivering a commissioned piece of work to a gorgeous holiday cottage in Goathland, in the North Yorkshire Moors. I am happy to undertake commissions, large or small, please do get in touch.
Workshops
On Sunday 11th June I was invited to co-deliver a workshop for Natural England to celebrate the ‘Year of the Coast’. The event, at Nothe Fort in Weymouth, attracted over 850 visitors, many of whom participated in our ‘Infinity Landscape’ community painting. People from 18 months upwards painted the beautiful view we had of the coast, or the coast from their imagination. So many people said how much fun they had painting, and taking time out to observe the coastal landscape and paint again, or for the first time since school.
I am also working with two local organisations, Asker Meadows Nature Reserve and Mountjoy School, to deliver workshops responding to the meadows’ environment (trees, river), which will culminate in an exhibition in the autumn.
Art in Care Homes
Over the last few months, residents have been creating a wide variety of artwork, including decorating windows for the King’s Coronation, painting from still life (‘salad bowl’, peonies, and tulips and lilac), and, one of the most popular, ‘turtles’ for World Turtle Day!
Two of my care homes’ also visited my solo exhibition, which was wonderfully supportive – and I received some great, and honest, feedback!
Art Market
On Saturday 15th July (10am -3pm) I will be at Bridport’s ‘Art Market’ in the WI Hall, selling prints, cards and coasters, plus a few smaller original paintings.
Forthcoming Exhibitions
I will be taking part in Bridport Art Society’s Summer Exhibition, entitled ‘Summertide’,
which runs from Saturday 1st – Sunday 23rd July at Sou’-Sou’-West Main Gallery, Symondsbury, Dorset.
