Big news from the winter season is that my artwork appeared on television! On Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year, Series 7, Episode 4 (now free to air, Freeview Channel 11).
I was selected to be a Wildcard artist, and the episode was filmed last summer. A special highlight was being interviewed by Tai Shan Schierenberg about my work. His comments included: “I really like what you’re doing here, your work is very unusual and it’s very effective.”
The whole day at the beautiful Eden Project was a wonderful experience. I’ve had an amazing response on social media: thank you to everyone that’s shared, loved or congratulated! If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s definitely worth watching!
A giclee print of the Eden Project piece (11”x14”) is available for £45 (the original is staying here!).
Like the Sea Itself jewellery proved to be a really popular Christmas gift, selling lots at the Female Makers Market and one piece, sold on Etsy, has even traveled to California!
The art in care homes sessions included Tigers for Chinese New Year (“grrr”) and the most wonderful Lowry’s.
We’re on the last stage of the brilliant Stepping into Nature project, creating a resource pack to be distributed in the Spring: more details in the next newsletter.
Gallery news: I exhibited work in both Artizan Gallery, Torquay and Sou Sou West, Symondsbury Winter Opens exhibitions.
Finally, big news for the Spring: I am having a solo exhibition at Sou Sou West Gallery, Symondsbury, in the small gallery, from Monday 25th April until Sunday 8th May. There’ll be range of artworks exhibited, all from the popular Enclosure Acts series. Hope to see you there!
Thank you again for your interest in my work.
